Copper Creek Crossings is where community spirit is built.

In the center of Savage, where County Road 42, Dakota Avenue and Loftus Lane meet, there is an 18 acre parcel of land. Here, the city’s water tower casts its midday shadow over the grazing cattle and open field.

The original Loftus homestead settled in 1855 still stands here. Its weather worn barn provides cover for feed, tractors, farm supplies, and the city’s favorite cattle. It is inevitable sign of the times, urban sprawl consumes the last surviving patch of a once proud farmland.

The question on everyone’s mind is, what will replace it?
